About the Role
Micron is seeking a strategic and visionary Principal University Recruiting Leader to lead university recruiting and early-career talent acquisition across Japan. This role is responsible for building sustainable talent pipelines through graduate hiring, internship programs, and partnerships with universities, technical colleges, and vocational schools. As a senior individual contributor, you will partner with business leaders and executives to shape workforce strategies, strengthen university relationships, and drive long-term talent acquisition success.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute graduate hiring and internship strategies across Japan.
- Build sustainable talent pipelines aligned with long-term workforce planning.
- Leverage labor market intelligence and competitive insights to shape recruiting strategies.
- Build and maintain relationships with universities, technical colleges, vocational schools, government agencies, and industry associations.
- Lead student engagement programs and recruiting events.
- Strengthen Micron’s employer brand and increase awareness among future talent.
- Lead end-to-end university recruiting and internship programs.
- Deliver an exceptional candidate experience throughout the recruiting lifecycle.
- Drive hiring outcomes while ensuring program effectiveness and scalability.
- Partner closely with hiring managers and business leaders on hiring plans and workforce needs.
- Provide insights and recommendations on talent market trends and hiring forecasts.
- Collaborate with HR and global recruiting teams to drive recruiting success.
- Leverage recruiting analytics and KPI reporting to improve outcomes.
- Drive adoption of AI-enabled recruiting practices and technologies.
- Build scalable recruiting processes that improve efficiency and candidate engagement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 10+ years of Talent Acquisition or Recruiting experience.
- 5+ years of experience in university recruiting, campus recruiting, workforce planning, or strategic talent initiatives.
- Experience leading graduate hiring and internship programs.
- Strong project management skills.
- Native or fluent level Japanese and business-level English communication skills.
