About the Role
Join our dynamic team as a Kitchen Cook Helper and contribute to preparing and serving healthy, appealing menus for consumers. This part-time role offers a great team environment, work-life balance, and the opportunity to grow your career.
Responsibilities
- Set up breakfast and lunch
- Prepare necessary cooking for services following chef manager instructions
- Ensure smooth running of services
- Ensure optimal use of food
- Maintain communication with team members
- Keep work area clean
- Adhere to health and food safety standards (MAPAQ and management)
- Properly identify and date all food items
- Participate in other tasks requested by the supervisor
Requirements
- Five (5) years of cooking experience, preferably in a cafeteria or restaurant
- Grade XII education
- Ability to lift pans of food, stock, and hot pans
- Knowledge of operating a food processor, meat slicer, convection ovens, steamer, fryer, and grill
- Skilled in using a knife
- Pass written and practical tests
- Previous experience with Catering, Grab and Go, and baking will be considered an asset
