About the Role
IDT is seeking a Product Manager to drive product revenue and margin growth within the NGS Business unit. This role involves serving as a commercial subject matter expert, managing the product lifecycle, and partnering with Sales and Marketing to develop growth strategies.
Responsibilities
- Develop an annual strategic plan to achieve product revenue and margin growth objectives.
- Drive actions that lead to sustainable growth and the completion of strategic objectives.
- Serve as a commercial subject matter expert and product champion internally and externally.
- Analyze and communicate customer feedback, market trends, competitor performance, sales channels, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage all aspects of product life cycle, including new product launch and execution of obsolescence.
- Partner with Sales and Marketing teams to develop effective positioning strategies, marketing campaigns, collateral, sales and support tools, and training programs.
- Partner with Quality Assurance and Operations on supply issues.
- Own communications for commercial teams and customers when necessary.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 5 years experience in biological sciences (biology, chemistry, biochemistry).
- 3+ years of experience in Next Generation Sequencing product management or other relevant technical environment.
- Demonstrated assay commercialization in genomics, next-generation sequencing, or a related industry inclusive of chemistry, software, and bioinformatics products.
- 2+ years of experience in high-touchpoint customer facing roles.
- Willingness and ability to travel approximately 20% domestically and internationally.
