About the Role
At Sitetracker, you will play a critical role in designing and delivering complex, scalable Salesforce solutions to address customer business needs. You will own the technical architecture of custom features and integrations, ensuring solutions are robust, performant, and aligned with Sitetracker's engineering standards. This role offers autonomy to solve technical challenges, mentor engineers, and influence platform evolution through collaboration with customers and the Product team.
Responsibilities
- Lead the technical design and development of complex custom solutions on the Sitetracker platform, translating customer requirements into scalable Salesforce architectures.
- Own technical design decisions, implementation quality, and architectural integrity, ensuring customizations align with platform best practices and minimize technical debt.
- Serve as a technical leader within the FDE team, guiding engineers, participating in code reviews, and establishing engineering standards.
- Proactively identify and resolve production issues, performance bottlenecks, and architectural risks, driving continuous improvements in development practices.
- Collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders to understand business requirements, recommend technical solutions, and communicate progress.
- Collaborate with the core Sitetracker Product team to identify recurring customization needs and share architectural insights.
- Deliver high-quality solutions on time, maintain strong customer relationships, and meet delivery and utilization expectations.
- Develop a strong understanding of Sitetracker's Salesforce architecture, development standards, and FDE delivery processes within 90 days.
- Independently design, develop, test, and deliver your first customer-facing customization or feature within 90 days.
- Establish productive working relationships with engineering, Product, and customer-facing teams within 90 days.
- Take end-to-end technical ownership of multiple complex customer implementations within 180 days.
- Serve as a trusted technical resource for customers and internal stakeholders within 180 days.
- Contribute to engineering excellence by mentoring fellow developers and improving reusable development frameworks within 180 days.
- Establish yourself as a technical leader within the FDE team within 365 days.
- Drive measurable improvements in engineering efficiency, solution quality, and customer outcomes within 365 days.
- Partner with customers, engineering leadership, and the core Sitetracker Product team to influence long-term solution strategies within 365 days.
Requirements
- Authored technical design documents for multiple high-complexity Salesforce solutions, emphasizing scalability, maintainability, and minimizing technical debt.
- Demonstrated advanced Apex development expertise, including asynchronous processing patterns (Queueable Apex, Platform Events), producing reusable, efficient, and tested code.
- Designed and developed complex, performant Lightning Web Components managing application state and interacting with external systems.
- Established reusable Salesforce development frameworks and utilized AI-assisted development tools.
- Proactively identified and resolved significant performance bottlenecks or technical debt within existing Salesforce solutions.
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively, verbally and in writing.
- Collaborated with internal stakeholders throughout the feature development lifecycle.
- Provide clear, professional updates and proactively communicate challenges.
- Worked directly with external customers throughout the feature development lifecycle.
- Led customer requirements discussions and demonstrated completed solutions.
- Independently managed and delivered multiple complex custom implementation projects from technical design through deployment.
