About the Role
The Consumer Credit Analyst reviews and purchases retail financing contracts for the Western Canada region. This role evaluates loan applications using an automated credit system to ensure applicants meet underwriting standards and credit criteria.
Responsibilities
- Review and make appropriate decisions on loan applications which meet acceptable underwriting standards, while maintaining high level of service to Internal and External customers
- Balance the demands of Production, Sales Support, Risk, and Quality Assessments as established
- Build and maintain proactive relationship with automobile dealers
- Build and maintain positive working relationship with peers and BDMs
- Provide back-up support for team members and assist Special Credit team with Funding issues
Requirements
- 2-5 years of Credit Analyst experience or combination of education and/or experience
- Funding knowledge, thorough knowledge of the credit review process as well as knowledge of credit scoring
Skills
- Bilingual French/English skills required
- Thorough knowledge of credit analysis and loan documentation
- Strong communications skills – oral and written
- Intermediate to advanced user experience with Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Self-starter with excellent time management skills
- Strong interpersonal and team building skills
- Coaching and feedback skills
