About the Role

The Senior Analyst, Finance Technology - Procurement & Financial Operations serves as the IT functional lead for Coupa procurement operations and Aderant Sierra financial operations. The role has significant responsibility for procure-to-pay, supplier onboarding and maintenance, requisitions, purchase orders, receipts, invoices, approvals, accounting validation, accounts payable, general ledger, trust accounting, tax, expenses, treasury, banking, payments, and related financial integrations. This position partners with Finance, Procurement, Accounts Payable, technical teams, application owners, and vendors to translate business requirements into reliable system configuration, integrations, controls, testing, and support processes.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary IT functional analyst for Coupa procurement operations and Aderant Sierra financial operations, supporting configuration, production operations, enhancements, upgrades, and issue resolution.
  • Support Coupa capabilities and integrations across requisitions, purchase orders, receipts, invoices, suppliers, approval workflows, accounting validation, and payment-related data flows.
  • Partner closely with Procurement and Accounts Payable to improve procure-to-pay processes, supplier onboarding, supplier data quality, invoice processing, exception handling, and operational controls.
  • Support Coupa Supplier Information Management, supplier compliance workflows, vendor master synchronization, and related integration processes where implemented.
  • Support Aderant Sierra capabilities spanning Accounts Payable, General Ledger, trust accounting, tax, expenses, treasury, banking, payments, and financial close activities.
  • Analyze business needs and translate them into functional requirements, process designs, configuration specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Evaluate the impact of changes to the chart of accounts, accounting strings, vendor identifiers, tax rules, approval hierarchies, and related financial master data across Sierra, Coupa, and downstream applications.
  • Own assigned procurement, expense, payment, banking, and financial-reporting integrations from a functional perspective, including requirements, business rules, mapping validation, reconciliation, exception review, testing, and sign-off.
  • Partner with integration and development teams to define, test, monitor, and troubleshoot interfaces, APIs, middleware processes, scheduled jobs, file transfers, and data mappings.
  • Lead or support system integration testing, regression testing, user acceptance testing, defect triage, production validation, release planning, cutover, deployment, and stabilization.
  • Investigate incidents, interface failures, and data discrepancies; coordinate sustainable remediation and maintain functional documentation, support procedures, test evidence, release notes, and knowledge articles.
  • Collaborate with Security, Compliance, Audit, and Information Governance teams on access, segregation of duties, retention, financial controls, and data security.
  • Monitor application health, recurring support trends, control gaps, and manual workarounds; recommend improvements that strengthen reliability and operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate vendor and managed-service-provider escalations and validate vendor-delivered fixes.
  • Provide secondary support across the Finance technology portfolio as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Five or more years of financial-systems functional analysis, business-systems analysis, product analysis, or application-support experience.
  • Demonstrated Coupa procurement experience covering procure-to-pay, supplier data, purchase orders, invoicing, approvals, and financial integrations.
  • Experience supporting Aderant Sierra or a comparable financial management system.
  • Strong understanding of procurement operations, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, accounting validation, payments, and reconciliation.
  • Experience gathering requirements, documenting processes, writing test scenarios, managing defects, and supporting production releases.
  • Ability to analyze cross-system issues using logs, interface files, reports, and data extracts.
  • Working knowledge of APIs, SFTP or file-based interfaces, middleware, scheduled jobs, data mappings, reconciliations, and exception handling; hands-on development is not required.
  • Strong analytical, stakeholder-management, documentation, planning, and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to support critical processing and deployments outside regular business hours when required.
