About the Role
Support financial operations by processing financial documents and transactions, reviewing accounting practices and financial statements, and assisting with compliance with applicable Federal financial requirements. Serve as a liaison with Federal employees, contractors, and divisions across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Process financial documents and transactions from designated Districts using the Unified Financial Management System (UFMS).
- Review accounting practices to ensure compliance with applicable Federal laws and regulations, including the Single Audit Act.
- Review accounting practices for compliance with generally accepted Government accounting practices and relevant Office of Management and Budget (OMB) circulars.
- Identify corrective actions for improper or illegal expenditures and accounting funds.
- Review and analyze annual financial statements to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, program policies, and procedures.
- Utilize spreadsheet and word-processing software in support of financial activities.
- Apply general knowledge of financial statements in performing assigned responsibilities.
- Serve as a liaison with Federal employees, contractors, and divisions across the organization.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must be able to undergo and pass a Tier 2 background investigation.
- Superior attention to detail.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Superior Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, PivotTables, and similar functions.
