About the Role
Scale AI is seeking a talented individual to join our Interactive Brand Studio, responsible for Scale's visual identity, brand strategy, scale.com, and creative content. This role reports to the Manager of Web Experience and will focus on designing and developing exceptional web experiences.
Responsibilities
- Design responsive, visually compelling website layouts, page templates, graphics, and interactive UI patterns across Scale's digital properties, with a primary focus on scale.com.
- Create reusable design components, patterns, and systems that establish consistency across web experiences while enabling teams to move quickly and efficiently.
- Develop wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups that translate business objectives, brand direction, and user needs into intuitive digital experiences.
- Partner closely with web engineers to communicate design intent, prepare implementation-ready specifications, review builds, and ensure high-quality execution.
- Apply responsive design, accessibility, usability, and web performance best practices to create experiences that work seamlessly across devices and screen sizes.
- Champion consistent application of Scale's visual identity while exploring new design directions that reflect the company's growth, innovation, and position in the AI industry.
- Explore AI-powered design and development tools, rapid prototyping, and new interaction patterns to accelerate workflows and push the boundaries of modern web experiences.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to incorporate feedback, evaluate design effectiveness, and continuously improve the quality and effectiveness of our web experiences.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in web design, digital design, visual design, or a related field, supported by a portfolio demonstrating strong visual craft, web design expertise, and shipped digital experiences.
- Proficient in Figma for design systems, component libraries, prototyping, and developer handoff.
- Understand responsive design, typography, layout systems, accessibility, interaction design, and modern web UI/UX principles.
- Ability to design within technical constraints without compromising the quality of the experience.
- Understand how designs translate into production websites and have working knowledge of HTML and CSS.
- Ability to create scalable design patterns and reusable components that maintain visual consistency across complex websites and content types.
- Excited about emerging AI tools and their potential to transform design and development workflows.
- Ability to balance speed with craft, manage competing priorities, and deliver high-quality work in a fast-moving environment.
- Ability to communicate clearly, welcome constructive feedback, solve problems proactively, and work effectively with design, engineering, marketing, and brand partners.
