About the Role
Guardian Veterinary Specialists is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician specializing in diagnostic imaging to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to work with advanced veterinary professionals in a state-of-the-art facility.
Responsibilities
- Perform MRI and CT scans, adjusting scanning techniques to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
- Safely position and monitor patients, prioritizing their comfort and well-being during procedures.
- Troubleshoot imaging issues, perform routine equipment checks, and report maintenance concerns.
- Maintain a clean and organized imaging suite, adhering to MRI safety and restricted-access protocols.
- Collaborate with veterinarians and hospital staff to support imaging procedures and other hospital needs.
Requirements
- Must hold an active New York State Veterinary Technician license.
- Prior veterinary technician experience is required.
- Experience in a specialty or emergency veterinary setting is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow imaging protocols and equipment safety procedures.
- Excellent interpersonal and client education skills with a compassionate, professional approach.
- Dependable, proactive, and collaborative attitude with a genuine commitment to patient care.
- Adaptability and time-management skills in a fast-paced environment.
