About the Role
The Cook will accurately and efficiently fulfill prep lists, tasks, and food preparation for various meal periods to include breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special/catered events. This role also involves driving a delivery vehicle to deliver prepared foods from the production kitchen to various sites, following a predetermined schedule.
Responsibilities
- Fulfill prep lists, tasks, and food preparation for various meal periods.
- Prepare food for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special/catered events.
- Drive a delivery vehicle to deliver prepared foods from the production kitchen to various sites.
- Follow a predetermined delivery schedule.
- Clock in and out for workday and breaks.
- Provide the highest quality of service in accordance with ISS/Guckenheimer and client standards.
- Utilize food preparation procedures in accordance with current applicable federal, state and local guidelines and regulations.
- Execute NetMenu recipe preparation of food items as directed.
- Clean and sanitize work areas and equipment.
- Follow ISS/Guckenheimer, and government regulatory rules and procedures.
- Notify management of any ingredient discrepancies/availability, food/equipment safety, or other situations requiring attention.
- Attend all meetings of the day.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year professional cooking experience or education equivalent.
- Valid state driver's license.
- Must be 18 or older.
- Clean and safe DMV driving record.
- Adhere to Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) policies and procedures.
- Participate in HSEQ training.
- Report any potential hazards or compliance concerns.
- Employment may be contingent upon successful completion of a background check and, where applicable, a drug and/or alcohol screening.
Skills
- Work safely with large volume culinary equipment including slicer, large mixer, food processors, blenders, and chopper.
- Basic knowledge of cooking and prep techniques.
