About the Role
The Rentals Team is responsible for building features that empower a user’s rental search journey. Our team develops on the Rental Details Page and the Search map, two of the highest traffic page types for Redfin.com. Our full-stack team builds highly visible consumer facing UI as well as robust data ingestion pipelines and data services. By joining our team, you’ll have a chance to work on features that get seen by millions of users and work on multiple critical platforms and services.
Responsibilities
- Develop responsive, resilient, scalable, and high-quality software using React-JS, Java, AWS, and various other tools/libraries.
- Leverage AI to develop solutions, innovations, and efficiencies as we move to an AI first development mindset.
- Balance the trade-offs between complex infrastructure investments and quick, pragmatic solutions to meet specific business needs.
- Collaborate with other engineering and product stakeholders to define, design, and develop projects.
- Collaborate with your team as both a contributor and a feature lead.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to support production systems and ensure service reliability, which may include coverage during nights and weekends.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional full stack software development experience specifically in ReactJS and Java.
- Hands-on experience developing and leveraging AI for software efficiencies in a professional capacity.
- Proven track record of designing, building, and maintaining scalable, high-performance web applications.
- Ownership mindset and understanding of how to overcome hurdles to deliver high impact features.
- Comfortable with autonomy and ambiguity, with the ability to make recommendations, create solutions, and drive outcomes.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment, handle ambiguity, and empathize with customers.
