About the Role
Join an exciting team at the intersection of creative vision and emerging technology, helping to grow this space at Black Kite alongside our Emerging Technology Creative. You will support creative directors and lead artists in developing and visualizing ideas from concept to execution on live projects.
Responsibilities
- Generate visual ideas during the treatment and pitch process.
- Translate creative concepts into compelling, production-ready imagery.
- Support project scoping and quoting conversations, explaining AI's realistic capabilities.
- Build and run AI pipelines and workflows using tools like ComfyUI, Krea, and Weavy AI to generate image and video content.
- Train and fine-tune models (including LoRAs) across platforms like Midjourney, Stable Diffusion, Kling, and Veo to match specific visual styles and briefs.
- Bridge the gap between existing high-end VFX techniques and emerging AI-driven approaches.
- Contribute to training initiatives and knowledge-sharing for internal teams.
- Educate and engage clients on emerging technology workflows and creative output.
- Stay ahead of the emerging AI space by testing and adopting new tools, models, and techniques, and sharing findings with the team.
Requirements
- Creative background in VFX, photography, design, fashion, mixed media, or motion graphics.
- Broad understanding of the VFX process and its requirements.
- Understanding of how a strong image is built.
- Experience with a broad range of new/emerging technologies, including AI.
- Experience building AI pipelines and workflows at a production level.
- Experience using hybrid AI workflows.
- Experience integrating AI with live-action footage.
- Ability to achieve specific results, course-correct AI output, and ensure it holds up in a professional pipeline.
- Keenness to try new tools and models and share knowledge.
- Willingness to use wider creative and technical skills and knowledge.
- Critical eye and a can-do problem-solving attitude.
- Keen eye for quality control and visual style.
