Regular after school, evening, and weekend availability is required.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily operations, staffing, schedules, groups, workshops, recreation, outings, supplies, technology, and readiness of the youth space.
  • Maintain at least two trained youth-serving staff during operating hours and the required 1:8 staff-to-youth ratio; monitor attendance and capacity.
  • Lead delivery of the 12-week curriculum covering peer relationships, digital wellness, creative arts, leadership, mindfulness, nutrition, and workforce readiness.
  • Supervise, coach, and support Youth Engagement Specialists; coordinate onboarding, training, reflective supervision, staff development, and approved relief coverage.
  • Ensure active supervision and compliance with youth protection, mandated reporting, confidentiality, professional boundaries, emergency response, incident reporting, and approved de-escalation practices.
  • Confirm consent, emergency-contact, staffing, and activity-approval requirements for off-site programming; restrict access to authorized youth, families, staff, and approved visitors.
  • Monitor required screening, State Central Registry clearances, training completion, program quality, contract compliance, and corrective follow-up.
  • Maintain accurate records for attendance, activities, outreach, referrals, incidents, youth feedback, membership forms, and required reports; collaborate with Data and Quality staff.
  • Establish and coordinate the Youth Advisory Board, facilitate quarterly meetings, document recommendations, and incorporate approved feedback into program improvement.
  • Coordinate outreach, presentations, referral pathways, and partnerships with schools, community organizations, healthcare providers, coalitions, CHASI programs, and other partners.
  • Work with Communications and youth to develop culturally responsive, developmentally appropriate, youth-informed, and non-stigmatizing materials.
  • Participate in meetings, training, quality-improvement activities, and approved community events; perform all functions in alignment with CHASI values and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalency with at least three years of professional experience with adolescents or in youth development, behavioral health, recovery support, education, social services, or a related setting.
  • Experience coordinating programs, services, groups, or community activities and supervising or coaching staff, interns, volunteers, or peer workers.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed, culturally responsive, recovery-oriented, and strengths-based youth engagement.
  • Ability to maintain boundaries and confidentiality and respond appropriately to conflict, crises, safety concerns, and disclosures.
  • Strong communication, organization, documentation, judgment, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work after school, evening, and Saturday hours and complete all required screening, clearance, onboarding, and youth-safeguarding training.
  • Employment is contingent upon completion and approval of all required CHASI and youth-specific screening procedures, including required background screening and State Central Registry clearance.
