About the Role
McGraw Hill is seeking an organized, detail-oriented Product Associate to provide administrative and operational support to our Canadian Product Team. This role keeps essential processes moving—from contracts, purchase orders, payments, and product data to team reporting and day-to-day coordination. It is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys creating order, following through on details, and supporting a collaborative team. You will be a key administrative partner to the Product Team, helping colleagues stay organized, meet deadlines, and complete core business processes accurately. You will work across functions, communicate with internal and external partners, maintain reliable records and product information, and identify practical ways to improve how work gets done.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate contracts and approvals, including preparing and routing documents for signature, tracking follow-ups, distributing agreements, and maintaining records.
- Coordinate business case approvals.
- Support financial administration by creating purchase orders, processing invoices and payments, supporting vendor set-up and maintenance, and coordinating royalty set-up.
- Maintain product information by setting up and updating metadata, coordinating catalogue and e-commerce enablement, and supporting product sunsetting activities.
- Manage requests and team records by coordinating adaptation agreement requests, responding to inquiries, and maintaining documentation.
- Provide day-to-day team support, including preparing reports, coordinating communications, scheduling activities, and offering general administrative assistance.
- Assist with market research, content review, quality assurance testing, and coordination of freelance contributors.
- Improve processes by learning new systems, documenting workflows, and suggesting practical improvements.
Requirements
- A college certificate, diploma, or bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Two or more years of administrative, operations, coordinator, or editorial support experience.
- Experience processing invoices, purchase orders, contracts, or other financial and administrative records.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple requests, maintain accurate records, and meet deadlines.
- Careful attention to detail, sound judgment, and reliable follow-through.
- Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues, vendors, authors, and customers.
- Comfort working independently while supporting several team members in a collaborative environment.
