About the Role

In our Consulting division, we are seeking you as a (Senior) Associate - Internal Audit & Controls (w/m/d) to join us as soon as possible.

Responsibilities

Analyze business processes, evaluate controls, and jointly develop optimization measures with clients to strengthen their governance, risk, and control structures.
Support clients in audit reviews, quality assessments, and IKS-related analyses, and contribute to the design and harmonization of risk and control systems.
Develop strategies, control frameworks, and target images with clients, taking responsibility for individual work packages and creating high-quality result documentation, presentations, and decision papers.
Support the development of innovative Internal Audit & Controls solutions and utilize modern technologies such as Data Analytics, Process Mining, Machine Learning, or GenAI in client projects.

Requirements

Successfully completed studies in business, law, social sciences, business informatics, or a comparable field.
Experience in Internal Audit, Risk Management, Governance & Controls, internal control systems (IKS), or the financial services environment.
Ideally, knowledge of processes at banks, insurance companies, or other financial service providers.
Initial exposure to digital audit solutions, Data Analytics, Process Mining, and AI or GenAI applications.
A certification such as CIA or CISA is advantageous.
Analytical thinking, a structured and quality-oriented approach, strong customer focus, and interest in technological innovations and digital transformation.
Very good written and spoken German and English skills.
Good MS Office skills.
