About the Role

Focal Systems is seeking a dedicated Field Service Technician to maintain installations for customers across the UK. This role involves working store opening hours, potentially including overnight work and attending installations. The technician will be responsible for the maintenance, deployment, and adoption of the company's AI retail system, requiring physical stamina, proficiency with power tools, and the ability to meet performance KPIs.

Responsibilities

Perform onsite and offsite maintenance of camera hardware, including diagnosing issues, installation, replacement, and configuration.
Conduct routine preventative maintenance checks to identify and address potential issues.
Respond promptly to service calls and ensure customer service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
Maintain accurate records of service activities, including work performed, parts used, and time spent.
Onboard and scan products into the system.
Attend installations at client sites, including during night hours as required.
Install Focal Systems product onto shelves, ceilings, and other equipment according to installation plans.
Operate power tools safely and efficiently for installations.
Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines.
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of installations.
Maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure maintenance tasks meet quality standards.
Meet or exceed speed and quality Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) consistently.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding progress and any encountered issues.
Adhere to company policies and procedures.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Field Service Technician, preferably in field service, installation, construction, or a related field.
Strong technical aptitude and troubleshooting skills for hardware and software issues.
Proficiency in using power tools and other installation equipment.
Strong physical stamina for demanding tasks and extended periods on feet.
Excellent attention to detail.
Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Effective communication skills.
Valid UK driving licence and reliable transportation.
Ability to work nights and weekends.
