About the Role
You lead the TRX team, responsible for real-time auctioning and selling modalities at the core of our platform. You will own the team's technical direction, strategy, delivery, quality, and technical metrics, while also building and managing the team. You will balance product and engineering decisions and drive AI adoption.
Responsibilities
- Lead the TRX team: real-time auctioning and selling modalities.
- Own the team's technical direction, strategy, and architecture.
- Own delivery and quality, including testing strategies.
- Own the team's technical metrics, tracking, and alerting.
- Build the team: hire, level, grow, and manage performance.
- Run people processes: onboarding, growth plans, feedback, and mentoring.
- Balance product and engineering decisions, defending choices.
- Push AI adoption in the team and use AI tooling.
Requirements
- 8+ years as a software engineer (individual contributor) before moving into management.
- 2+ years managing engineers as a line manager, with performance and hiring responsibility.
- Depth in distributed systems: services, concurrency, data consistency.
- Experience assembling a team (hiring, leveling, growing).
- Experience running a delivery methodology (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) with a clear view of testing layers.
- Experience owning a technical strategy for a team or domain, tied to OKRs or similar governance.
- AI-first way of working: daily use of tools like Claude, ChatGPT, or Copilot, and driving adoption.
- English at C1 level or above.
