About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Product Designer to help define how customers and AI agents work together to understand, forecast, and control cloud spend. You will set the patterns for other teams to build upon, focusing on designing for trust where it matters most in AWS Billing. This role involves shaping agentic user experiences, defining what agents can do autonomously, and ensuring transparency and reversibility of automated actions.
Responsibilities
- Frame ambiguous problems before solving them, driving clarity when requirements, customers, and feasibility are undefined.
- Define how AI agents act on customers' behalf, including autonomous actions, human approvals, and customer control.
- Design trust patterns that surface an agent's confidence, reasoning, and attribution.
- Design human-in-the-loop, approval, and undo patterns for actions that move money.
- Create coherent experiences across conversational, agent-driven, and console interfaces.
- Lead design from problem framing through launch, using data signals to improve shipped products.
- Partner with data science, legal, and policy as co-designers on AI features with financial or compliance complexity.
- Establish patterns and standards for the team and mentor other designers.
- Write narratives and strategy documents to drive decisions and present them to senior leadership.
Requirements
- 7+ years of design experience.
- Online portfolio or work samples demonstrating experience creating end-to-end, user-centered design solutions and patterns across desktop and mobile devices.
- Experience using AI tools in the design workflow (e.g., AI-assisted prototyping, code generation, research synthesis).
- Experience designing complex, data-dense workflows and information architecture.
