About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Product Designer to contribute to the evolution of the Zeta Marketing Platform (ZMP), including its core platform, Athena OS, Agentic Apps, and Data Cloud. This role is central to the Product Design team, focusing on high-impact design challenges across various areas. You will collaborate with design system, Product, and Engineering teams to transform complex platform and data requirements into clear, consistent, and valuable customer experiences. This position is ideal for someone who can elevate quality, speed, and innovation, bringing expertise in data visualization, UX, visual design, systems thinking, motion, and AI.

Responsibilities

  • Design and evolve Data Visualization focused experiences across ZMP, Athena OS, Agentic Apps, and Data Cloud.
  • Manage and improve shared design processes and provide quality oversight.
  • Contribute to the systematic foundation for consistency, scalability, and quality across the product ecosystem.
  • Partner with Product Management and Engineering to define strategy, scope, and execution.
  • Translate complex requirements and technical constraints into clear, intuitive experiences.
  • Iterate and improve on concepts to deliver on unique customer use cases.
  • Contribute to AI interaction models, agentic patterns, and Model Context Protocol (MCP) thinking.
  • Shape how data is surfaced, visualized, and understood within the marketing operating system.
  • Lead by example in visual design, interaction design, motion, prototyping, and data visualization.
  • Set a high quality bar for speed, clarity, and polish across the platform.
  • Determine the most effective way to present data (chart, table, single number).
  • Act as a force multiplier for the design team by mentoring designers and reviewing work.
  • Create systems, interfaces, and processes that enable scalable, high-quality product design.

Requirements

  • Proven ability to design scalable systems, frameworks, and interfaces.
  • Experience moving across a large platform rather than owning one narrow surface.
  • Deep experience working in both Figma and AI tools, leveraging structured libraries and reusable patterns.
  • Solid understanding of AI-powered workflows, agentic systems, and emerging interaction patterns.
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools to inform, accelerate, and enhance product design.
  • Excellence across UX, visual design, interaction design, motion, and data visualization.
  • Ability to design sophisticated workflows that feel intuitive and high-quality in technically complex environments.
  • Ability to clearly articulate problem, user job, system behavior, and outcome.
  • Comfort designing flows where intent matters more than screens.
  • Strong understanding of animation as UX.
  • Uses motion to explain system state changes, communicate AI progress, and reduce perceived latency.
  • Designs micro-interactions for loading, generating, refining, and results.
  • Strong comfort partnering with engineers and understanding technical constraints.
  • Ability to use prototyping to explore, validate, and communicate complex ideas.
  • Ability to influence outcomes through clarity, critique, documentation, and example-setting.
  • Able to speak confidently about data visualization principles with various stakeholders.
  • Guides and implements data visualization design best practices.
  • Ensures the right chart type is used for the right data, prioritizing clarity.
  • Comfortable presenting data-heavy design work to executive stakeholders.
  • 7–10+ years of product design experience, with meaningful time spent on complex platforms, systems, or tools (B2B, SaaS, or AI-driven products strongly preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience leading foundational or platform-level design work that scales across teams, products, or workflows.
  • Hands-on experience designing and shipping features, workflows, or systems within large, complex platforms.
  • Proven track record of partnering closely with Product and Engineering in fast-paced environments.
  • Experience mentoring designers, influencing standards, and shaping how design work scales.
  • Experience presenting and iterating on data visualization or dashboard design with executive stakeholders.
  • High Autonomy: Can take a fuzzy problem and drive it to clarity.
  • Strong Judgment: Knows what's important vs. what's nice.
  • Clear Communicator: Explains thinking simply to PMs, Engineering, and Leadership.
  • Comfort with Ambiguity: Enjoys shaping the problem space, not just executing tickets.
  • Ownership & Accountability: Treats the product as their own.
  • AI-Forward & Curious: Actively experiments with AI tools, workflows, and emerging technologies.
  • Quality Advocate with Pragmatic Judgment: Knows when to push for excellence and when to ship, learn, and iterate.
