About the Role

As a Product Designer at Ramp, you are accountable for outcomes, not just artifacts. You will work with PMs, engineers, and other designers to define the right problems, explore and validate solutions, and ship product experiences that change customer behavior. Design at Ramp is AI first and builder led, utilizing LLMs, Claude, Cursor, and Figma to prototype, test, and iterate on product experiences. We are looking for designers excited to use AI as a core part of their workflow.

Responsibilities

  • Own product work end to end, partnering with PM and engineering to define problems, explore solutions, validate concepts, and ship product improvements.
  • Start design work in an LLM to clarify intent, draft PRDs, and surface risks.
  • Validate assumptions with self-serve research by talking directly with customers and running quick tests.
  • Prototype using AI tools like Cursor and Claude Code to build and iterate on flows and simple interfaces.
  • Translate validated concepts into Figma for full state coverage, system alignment, and production readiness.
  • Design for the 80/20 rule, encoding complexity under the hood while keeping the default experience simple.
  • Contribute to design patterns and culture by sharing prompts, patterns, and learnings, and participating in crits and reviews.

Requirements

  • Experience as a product designer working on complex products, ideally in B2B, fintech, or other systems-heavy environments.
  • Ownership of projects from problem definition through launch and iteration.
  • Active use of LLMs such as Claude or ChatGPT in your design workflow.
  • Comfort working in tools like Cursor or Claude Code.
  • A portfolio that shows strong product thinking, interaction design, and craft.
  • Ability to work with PMs to define success metrics and adjust based on results.
  • Clear communication and comfort collaborating directly with engineers and PMs.
  • Based in or open to relocate to NYC.
