About the Role

At Google, our Interaction Designers transform complex tasks into intuitive, easy-to-use experiences for billions of people. You will envision and bring product experiences to life with an inspired, refined, and magical feel, collaborating with Engineering and Product Management to create industry-leading products. As a Staff Interaction Designer on the Agentic Docs team, you will define the patterns of how AI agents research, orchestrate, and collaborate alongside humans, leading the design of experiences that help users move from a blank page to a finished project with the help of intelligent agents.

Responsibilities

  • Direct the UX goal for identifying areas of opportunity for agentic and autonomous document experiences, guiding a cross-functional, cross-product area team from early-stage research to global launch.
  • Drive the development of user journeys, high-fidelity mocks, and interactive prototypes to effectively communicate complex agentic behaviors and clearly explain the rationale for design choices to leadership and cross-functional peers.
  • Identify user needs and mental models for "AI as a collaborator," defining the end-to-end experience for Agentic Docs and ensuring these components integrate seamlessly into the broader Editors and Google Workspace ecosystem.
  • Contribute to product strategy by staying ahead of market trends in LLMs and agentic workflows.
  • Hold a high bar for design craft, ensuring that even the most complex AI-driven features feel intuitive and deliver outcomes for the product portfolio.
