About the Role
This position will be hired as a Manager or Senior Manager, depending on the candidate's experience, expertise, and expected role. You will provide independent assurance and advanced insights into the effectiveness of governance, risk management, and internal controls, driving the enhancement of risk culture and control environment as a trusted partner to senior management.
Responsibilities
- Lead important or highly difficult audit projects and be responsible for audit quality and deliverables.
- Liaise directly with senior management to reach agreements on audit findings and improvement measures.
- Lead the formulation and review of risk-based audit plans, considering the company's overall risk profile.
- Prepare and explain reporting materials for the Audit Committee and Management Meetings.
- Oversee the review and development of staff and assistant managers.
- Lead coordination with Group Internal Audit, external auditors, and key stakeholders.
Requirements
- Audit experience in the financial or insurance industry (approximately 5 years or more).
- Extensive practical experience in risk-based internal auditing.
- Experience leading audit projects and managing audit teams.
- Advanced knowledge of governance, risk management, and internal controls.
- Deep understanding and industry knowledge of the life insurance business.
- Experience in negotiation and consensus building with senior management.
- High communication skills in English (including meetings, reporting, and document creation).
- Ability to organize issues, analyze problems, and make recommendations.
- Stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in internal audit at a life insurance company.
- Experience in audit planning, quality control, and advancement of audit methodologies.
- Experience in developing, evaluating, and managing subordinates and organizations.
- Professional qualifications such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA), USCPA, or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA).
- Overseas audit, overseas branch operations, or global audit experience.
- Experience reporting to management meetings, audit committees, and boards of directors.
- Experience collaborating with global stakeholders using English.
