About the Role

As an Assistant Manager in the Audit Department, you will provide independent assurance and insights into the effectiveness of the company's governance, risk management, and internal controls. You will also enhance awareness of controls and risks through regular dialogue with management, improve the company's risk culture, and advise management on the development and implementation of smart control solutions.

Responsibilities

Lead audit projects from planning to reporting as the primary auditor.
Conduct risk and control assessments through discussions with audited department management.
Gain agreement with management on audit findings and improvement plans.
Verify progress and effectiveness of improvement measures.
Provide guidance and review for staff members.
Support the development and enhancement of risk-based audit plans.

Requirements

Minimum 3 years of experience in audit or internal control related work within the financial industry.
Practical experience in risk-based internal auditing.
Experience conducting audit work independently or as the primary auditor.
Practical knowledge of internal audit methodologies, risk assessment, and internal controls.
Knowledge of life insurance industry regulations, business processes, and key risks.
Ability to conduct business, including reading, writing, and participating in meetings in English.
Ability to communicate smoothly and reach agreements with audited departments.
Document creation skills to prepare audit work papers and reports.

Skills

Audit experience in a life insurance company
Practical experience in accounting audits, SOX, ERM, or operational risk
Professional qualifications such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA), USCPA, or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)
Project leadership or junior staff development experience
Communication experience with senior management
Business-level or higher English proficiency
