Responsibilities

Execute basic MSL tasks under guidance and support.
Build trust relationships with Key Individuals (KIs) in their therapeutic area.
Implement the medical plan through scientific communication.
Practice fair and neutral medical and scientific communication with HCPs.
Gather and report on unmet medical needs for medical advancement.
Optimize the value of Janssen products.
Lead projects/tasks of the MSL group in their therapeutic area.
Make timely use of new medical and scientific information from various perspectives.
Analyze and identify key MSL findings and provide them to the DA team for strategy formulation.
Contribute to the development of young MSLs.
Ensure the success of projects/tasks across the MSL department and MAF DA team.
Serve as a key contributor to the formulation and revision of DA strategy and MAP.
Build strong relationships with high-level KIs through research and representation of complex scientific data.
Contribute to the formulation of the responsible DA's MSL strategy.
Enhance the capabilities of DA team members.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or above is required.
A master/doctoral degree is preferred.
2+ years experience in a pharmaceutical industry or medical institution is desirable.
Immunology experience.
Experience of clinical development, medical affairs, or research is desirable.
Good presentation experience.
Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Business level of Japanese and English communication.
Awareness of, and adherence to, Johnson & Johnson Credo values and International Health Care Business Integrity Guide.
Strategic Agility: Consider and propose MSL strategies aligned with TA strategy, find solutions for unmet medical needs, prioritize projects, work cross-functionally, evaluate data, and adapt to opportunities/challenges.
Product & Therapeutic Area Knowledge: Thorough understanding of therapeutic areas, products, and treatment options; interpret market information; analyze data; support MAF strategies; increase awareness of new scientific research; apply statistical concepts; contribute to new research proposals.
Scientific Communication Effectiveness: Research, organize, and articulate complex scientific data; foster stakeholder engagement; create new ways to respond to opportunities; leverage multi-channel communication; propose and support medical education programs.
External Customer Engagement & Partnership: Derive actionable insights to understand customer needs; determine common goals; support business plans; build and maintain partnerships with key external stakeholders; guide others on effective engagement; develop integrated multi-channel customer engagement plans.
Cross functional Collaboration & Teaming: Build collaborative relationships across departments; promote business plans; act as a key member of cross-functional teams; create opportunities for collaboration; align project and business goals; clarify roles and responsibilities.
Strategic Evidence Generation: Assess and prioritize evidence gaps; understand the need for real-world evidence; categorize data sources; ask the right questions; familiarity with standard methods of evidence generation; propose ideas for evidence creation; understand study concepts, protocols, and analytical plans; work with clinical operations teams; understand biostatistical methods; provide advice on paper preparation.
