About the Role
Prestige Fleet Services is seeking mechanically savvy technicians to join their growing team. They offer cutting-edge technology to reduce administrative time, allowing technicians to focus on their work. This is a locally run, family-oriented company serving the community.
Responsibilities
- Perform repairs and inspections on Class 6-8 trucks and trailers, including brakes, diagnostics, A/C systems, electrical systems, engine components, exhaust systems, after-treatment systems, lift-gates, and tires.
- Schedule and oversee all maintenance procedures, including preventive maintenance and DOT inspections.
- Repair and replace vehicle/trailer components.
- Open and close repair orders using a company-issued device.
- Obtain parts from local vendors and manage inventory on the service truck.
- Accurately complete DOT forms and other documentation in a timely fashion.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of diesel and trailer repair experience preferred.
- Communication skills.
- Ability to work extended and/or irregular hours, including weekends and holidays when needed.
- Valid Driver’s License required.
- Self-motivated with excellent organization and planning skills.
- Ability to utilize a computer/tablet for electronic processing of work orders (adding labor hours, updating statuses).
- 2 years of experience in performing annual federal inspections and brake inspections.
- 2 years of experience in truck/trailer maintenance and repair or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Basic computer skills.
- Must possess proper tools.
- Ability to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
