About the Role

Bitcoin.com is a leading crypto content and onboarding platform seeking an experienced Senior Web Engineer to design, build, and improve web products with a focus on performance, scalability, and user experience. This role involves owning key engineering workstreams, collaborating with Product and Design, and utilizing AI-first development practices to deliver high-quality solutions and bring crypto to a global audience.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and ship features across web products, from scoping to production.
Serve as the primary engineering contact for Product and Design on assigned workstreams.
Develop reusable components and content tooling to enable non-engineers to create and update pages.
Ensure websites are fast, accessible, and optimized for SEO/GEO across multiple languages.
Manage hosting and delivery, including environments, CDN, caching, security rules, DNS, and domains.
Support releases and lead investigations into production issues.
Review code and uphold high standards for quality, testing, and documentation.
Adopt an AI-first approach and enhance the team's utilization of AI coding tools.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of professional web development experience, including senior-level work on high-traffic production sites.
Expertise in TypeScript, React, and Next.js.
Experience with Headless CMS, including content models and editor workflows.
Strong understanding of web performance, accessibility, and technical SEO (Core Web Vitals, rendering strategies, structured data).
Proficiency with server-side JavaScript and APIs (REST, GraphQL).
Hands-on experience with Vercel, AWS, or Cloudflare (deployments, CDN, caching, firewall rules, DNS, logs, monitoring).
Knowledge of secure web development practices.
Fluency with AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code) and the ability to critically evaluate their output.
Clear written and verbal English communication skills, strong presentation abilities, and a self-driven work style.
BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Experience with monorepos and design systems.
Experience with CI/CD and infrastructure as code.
Experience with internationalization at scale.
Experience with automated and end-to-end testing (e.g., Playwright).
Experience with monitoring and analytics tools (Sentry, New Relic).
Experience with crypto or fintech products, including Web3 wallet integrations.
Experience with content in regulated industries.
