About the Role

We are seeking a Marketing & Communications Coordinator to support our business growth in Japan. This role will focus on enhancing brand value, increasing awareness, and generating leads through strategic marketing and communication initiatives. You will collaborate with global and APAC marketing teams to implement localized strategies, manage a variety of tasks including PR, content creation, social media, and event planning, making it an ideal position for those looking to build a career in marketing and communications. You will contribute to brand building for our rapidly growing Japanese business by working with leaders from diverse business units and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Support the execution of marketing strategies.
• Assist in developing the annual marketing plan and marketing calendar for the Japanese market.
• Support the planning and execution of various marketing initiatives and campaigns, manage project progress, schedules, and stakeholder coordination.
• Propose communication strategies aligned with business challenges and objectives, driving marketing activities with a focus on ROI.
• Localize global and APAC initiatives for the Japanese market.
• Manage brand and brand guidelines within Japan, ensuring message consistency.
• Conduct internal brand education and awareness activities.
• Create press releases, articles, and various PR materials.
• Build media relationships and handle inquiries.
• Plan and execute award submissions and awareness campaigns.
• Create content and copy for the Japanese market.
• Support social media operations.
• Update and optimize website content.
• Implement and analyze digital campaigns.
• Support the operation of events, seminars, client events, and conference participation.
• Implement event promotion and lead generation activities, analyze and report on event outcomes.
• Create internal newsletters and intranet articles.
• Support internal events and company-wide communication initiatives.
• Implement global initiatives in Japan, measure effectiveness, and report results.

Requirements

• Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Media, or equivalent knowledge/experience.
• 1-3 years of experience in marketing or communications.
• High communication skills in both Japanese and English (primarily Japanese).
• Project management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Practical skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
