About the Role
The Therapist works in a dynamic multidisciplinary team providing treatment services. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping those in need and will find joy in being at the heart of a positive, professional culture.
Responsibilities
- Providing therapy services
- Leading therapy groups
- Facilitating clinical assessments
- Conducting individual sessions
- Ensuring clinical documentation is completed with PPS division policy guidelines
- Establishing therapeutic rapport with patients and families/loved ones
- Delivering 20-25 hours of direct client hours each week to outpatient clients
- Facilitating intensive outpatient program groups 3 times a week
- Facilitating admission assessments and the admission process for new patients
- Completing appropriate number of therapy sessions weekly for patients, including family/support system sessions
- Providing utilization reviews to insurance companies
- Communicating with the billing department to provide information about services rendered
- Participating in research planning, analysis, development, and presentation
- Providing training and support to clinical care coordinator
- Actively participating in prior authorizations and utilization review for TMS, Spravato, and medications
- Supporting the development of new therapeutic initiatives and programs
- Advocating for clients
- Referring patients across Discovery Behavioral Health brands and service lines
- Consulting on potential referrals filtering into practice from other Discovery Behavioral Health brands
- Backing up technician for TMS and Spravato
- Providing therapeutic intervention for patients undergoing Spravato and Esketamine treatment
- Providing integrative therapy for patients undergoing services within practice
Requirements
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in relevant field, required
- Completion of state requirements to obtain provisional licensure and later state clinical license to conduct therapeutic interventions required
