About the Role
The Baillie Group's Sherburne, NY Rip Line is hiring a forklift operator. This is a full-time opportunity with a world-class hardwood lumber manufacturer.
Responsibilities
- Operating forklift in a warehouse setting
- Completing other work as needed when not driving a forklift
- Lifting 50 lbs
- Identifying sort numbers for carts and pulling boards into correct carts
- Assisting in all areas of production
- Adhering to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures
- Working independently
- Working efficiently and safely with a high level of precision
- Locating, pulling, and organizing loads of material needed for orders
Requirements
- Previous experience as an equipment operator using a forklift of 10,000 lbs. and heavier required
- At least 1 year of experience within the last 2 years preferred
- Must be self-motivated and organized
- Willingness to work in an outside environment
- Willingness to work overtime
- Previous experience as a warehouse worker preferred
