About the Role
Segal McCambridge is seeking an experienced paralegal to join our dynamic team in Austin. This role offers the opportunity to take on meaningful responsibility, contribute to sophisticated litigation matters, and grow alongside an experienced and supportive legal team.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of files and work closely with attorneys through all phases of litigation—from initial pleadings through trial preparation.
- Drive cases forward while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and organization.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a paralegal in civil defense litigation.
- Experience handling Texas matters in both state and federal courts.
- Strong knowledge of litigation procedures and legal terminology.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities under pressure.
- Meticulous attention to detail in drafting, editing, and proofreading legal documents.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including interaction with senior-level professionals.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Sound judgment in managing a diverse workload.
- Experience with billing and time entry.
Skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Windows applications, e-filing systems, and online research tools.
