About the Role
We are looking for a Licensed Millwright (433A) to ensure the operation of mechanical systems and equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements and troubleshooting problems on conveyors and machinery.
Responsibilities
- Minimize downtime through preventive maintenance and good troubleshooting techniques.
- Prepare maintenance reports and make recommendations for improvements.
- Maintain technical knowledge by attending education workshops.
- Repair and replace pumps, valves, motors, etc.
- Perform quality checks on all work performed.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with health and safety and housekeeping practices and using personal protective equipment.
- Maintain documentation as required by Atlantic Packaging.
- Utilize documentation in CMMS.
- Install new machines and equipment.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results and other duties as assigned.
- Inform production workers of routine mechanical preventive maintenance plans.
Requirements
- Must have a valid Ontario Industrial Mechanic License - 433A.
- Red Seal Journeyman certification.
- Minimum 2–3-year previous experience in a manufacturing industry.
- Exposure to mechanical devices, pneumatic controls, and welding/cutting.
- All position welding preferred (stainless steel pipe, guard repairs, etc.).
