- Bring ambitious concepts to life by collaborating with creative peers and the full studio, including Brand Design and Writing leads.
- Work closely with Motion and Production teams throughout the creative process, remaining involved in film development from script to final edit.
- Integrate audience and distribution thinking into creative concepts, considering how work will be discovered, watched, and shared.
- Push creative boundaries by leading concept development and critique, utilizing tools like rough scripts, prototypes, and AI to test ideas.
- Proactively identify opportunities and develop ideas based on curiosity about Mercury’s products, customers, and the broader culture.
- Partner with Product Marketing, Brand Marketing, Product Design, Comms, and Insights to identify key moments for creative investment.

- Hire and develop team members, shaping the team's structure and capabilities.
- Set clear expectations and coach individuals to enhance their judgment and conceptual strength.
- Foster a culture where experimentation, honest feedback, and cross-disciplinary contributions are encouraged.
- Establish clear processes from insight to execution, incorporating critique and collaboration.
- Develop relationships with external creatives and agencies to bring in diverse perspectives and capabilities.
Requirements
- A strong creative foundation in art direction, design, or copywriting.
- Portfolio showcasing original concepts developed into ambitious, well-crafted work across multiple formats.
- Ability to explain personal contributions, idea evolution, and the impact of collaboration.

- Track record of deep creative collaboration with design and writing peers, leading multidisciplinary work from concept through production.
- Ability to build trusted partnerships, bring a clear point of view, listen actively, and constructively resolve creative disagreements.
- Strong taste, cultural awareness, and product curiosity, with the ability to understand complex business or product and translate it into clear, surprising, and memorable concepts.
- Experience developing creative people and shaping team workflows, providing specific feedback, setting high standards, and creating an environment for creative risk-taking.
