About the Role
PM Pediatric Care is seeking a Licensed Master Social Worker to join our Behavioral Health Program. This role will provide comprehensive behavioral health services for common conditions like depression, anxiety, ADD, and conduct disorders within a collaborative primary care model.
Responsibilities
- Perform psychosocial assessments that comply with evidence-based practices.
- Provide counseling and therapy for patients using evidence-based treatment modalities.
- Display competency as an individual, family, and group therapist.
- Maintain own professional development as required by licensing board.
- Complete required documentation and paperwork, including biopsychosocial assessments and treatment planning and implementation in a timely manner.
- Work closely with patient and family and team to overcome obstacles in treatment.
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate cultural competency and commitment.
- Respond quickly to an urgent or emergent need.
- Maintain a caseload of 30-35 patients weekly and a minimum of 5 patients daily.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Social Work or a related field required.
- Relevant therapist license in the state(s) practicing (LMSW- NY) (LCSW-NY) or (LMHC-NY).
- Must have experience with pediatric and adolescent patients.
- Experience providing teletherapy to children and adolescents preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Ability to effectively interact, work, and develop meaningful relationships with people of various cultural backgrounds.
- Knowledge of the psychosocial aspects of illness and health.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent short-term counseling skills.
- Experience with discharge planning.
