About the Role
Base is rebuilding the foundation of modern civilization–electricity–by deploying a vast network of distributed batteries. This role involves launching new markets nationwide by understanding and building software solutions for diverse operational needs, from partner integrations to grid data analysis.
Responsibilities
- Learn how work gets done and where it breaks by working alongside teams and partners.
- Help decide which problems matter most, what to build, and what to fix with process instead of code.
- Build end-to-end software, including integrations, internal tools, workflows, data pipelines, and partner-facing products.
- Ship prototypes quickly and harden successful ones for team reliance.
- Work with utility partners on grid constraints and data to inform battery deployment and command strategies.
- Launch new states by establishing necessary partner integrations, workflows, and data, and improve speed for subsequent launches.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience building production software in product or full-stack engineering roles.
- Comfort across modern web apps, APIs, data models, and stateful user experiences.
- Strong product judgment and a track record of turning ambiguous ideas into shipped, useful products.
- Experience in 0-to-1 or fast-moving environments where user needs, product shape, and success metrics are evolving.
- Experience using product analytics, experimentation, and data to guide decisions.
- Intensity and urgency, with a high bar for personal work.
- Willingness for role to expand or change based on business needs.
