About the Role
This placement is for a penultimate-year LLB Law student seeking hands-on experience in the in-house legal team of a multinational technology company. You are curious, collaborative, and a clear communicator, with a creative approach to problem-solving.
Responsibilities
- Review and advise on non-disclosure agreements, procurement documents, and marketing materials.
- Support lawyers on software sales transactions and commercial contracts.
- Act as a first point of contact for Novation, Amendment, and internal corporate queries.
- Deliver training to the SAP sales team on relevant legal matters.
- Support litigation work and help enforce SAP’s trademarks.
- Gain insight into how AI is reshaping the legal profession from AI-powered contract review to the ethical questions raised by enterprise AI.
Requirements
- A genuine interest in how the law serves businesses and their customers, understanding the commercial context behind legal decisions.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, with comfort in managing documents accurately.
- Effective time management skills, capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously and meeting deadlines without losing attention to detail.
- An inquisitive mindset to delve into complex problems.
- An open mindset toward AI, willingness to experiment, collaborate with AI tools, and take responsibility for outputs.
- Currently studying for an LLB Law degree.
