About the Role

This placement is for a penultimate-year student from any degree discipline with an interest in finance. You’ll join SAP UK’s Finance team, contributing to financial reporting, analysis, and business partnering across the UK. From day one, you’ll take ownership of real tasks and play a visible role in how the team operates.

Responsibilities

Support the construction and analysis of financial reports for internal stakeholders and the CFO office.
Contribute to statutory reporting activities and assist with recurring and ad hoc finance tasks.
Lead your own projects developing from initial scoping through to delivery and presentation.
Build relationships with shared services colleagues and departments across SAP to support business partnering.
Help the team evolve the business support and partnering it delivers to the UK market unit.
Work with SAP Analytics Cloud and AI-powered tools to explore how intelligent analytics are reshaping financial planning and reporting.

Requirements

A genuine interest in how finance supports business decisions, and you look beyond the numbers to understand the bigger picture.
Solid proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and you’re comfortable analysing data and building reports.
Effective time management - you juggle multiple tasks simultaneously and deliver to deadlines without losing accuracy.
An inquisitive mindset, you ask questions, challenge assumptions, and dig into problems.
An open mindset toward AI, you’re willing to experiment, collaborate with AI tools, and take responsibility for the outputs you produce.
A background or interest in business, accounting, or IT is an advantage, but not a requirement.
