About the Role

The Program Manager serves as the primary customer interface, driving program success for semiconductor customer accounts with a primary focus on New Product Introduction (NPI). This role requires a proven project leader adept at delivering complex initiatives in dynamic matrix environments, navigating cross-functional dependencies, and aligning multidisciplinary teams. The Program Manager will drive project velocity, resolve resource constraints, and manage smaller customer accounts to achieve planned revenue and profits. This is a first-level management position responsible for direct management of semi-skilled and entry-level professional employees.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as the primary interface and relationship manager between key customer leadership and internal operational teams, overseeing high-complexity NPI and managing large-scale, strategic account portfolios.
  • Develops, implements, and executes end-to-end program/project plans across all phases of the product lifecycle.
  • Drives cross-functional account teams (Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Quality) to ensure product deliveries are on time, scopes are maintained, and budgets are met.
  • Proactively identifies project risks, fluctuations in scope, and resource constraints, deploying structured risk management methodologies to keep milestones on track.
  • Establishes and leads regular program tracking meetings, providing transparent status reporting and executive updates for monthly Operations Reviews and quarterly Customer Performance Reviews.
  • Manages revenues and margins, monitors order change impacts on inventory, and oversees price make-up (Value-Add and Materials) and contract terms.
  • Drives regular communication to ensure high customer satisfaction, addressing and resolving issues, escalations, and changes seamlessly.
  • Establishes annual plans/objectives and interprets policies related to the functional area.
  • Executes budgets, develops schedules, and enforces policies and procedures.
  • Provides immediate supervision to employees, assigning tasks and checking work at regular intervals.
  • Directs subordinates to achieve assignments using established guidelines, procedures, and policies.
  • Makes hiring and firing decisions.
  • Reviews employee performance and recommends compensation; coaches for improved performance and disciplines as necessary.
  • Builds strong internal and external relationships that require exchanging information and providing explanations in a problem-solving capacity.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of relevant project/program management experience overseeing complex electromechanical assemblies within the semiconductor industry.
  • Ability to align cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders without direct reporting authority.
  • Demonstrated methodologies for proactive risk identification, mitigation, and navigating fluctuating timelines and dynamic scopes.
  • Deep knowledge of product pricing, business risks, contract negotiation, and margin structures (Value-Add & Materials).
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills with the ability to articulate technical and project details clearly to executives and customers.
  • Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.
  • Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.
  • Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.
  • 10%–25% domestic/international travel required.
