About the Role
As a (Senior) Consultant at Cosmonauts & Kings, you will primarily manage your own mandates focusing on Digital Thought Leadership, Leadership Positioning, and Executive Branding, while actively contributing to the expansion of our Digital Corporate Communication division. We are seeking a proactive individual with a keen sense for communication at the intersection of politics, business, and society.
Responsibilities
- Lead consulting projects in digital corporate and association communication, focusing on Thought Leadership, Leadership Positioning, and Executive Branding, particularly for LinkedIn and other social media channels.
- Develop digital strategies and positioning, from topic and debate analysis to narrative and personal profile development, including editorial support, quality assurance, and data-driven optimization.
- Conceive communication strategies and campaigns from concept to execution, managing implementation, digital outreach, and impact measurement.
- Manage collaboration between strategy, data, media, design, editorial, social media, community management, and AI teams to create integrated communication architectures.
- Provide strategic leadership and consulting, challenging assumptions and aligning client interests with development potential.
- Lead project teams, overseeing project, time, and resource planning, including budget, cost, and process management, as well as proposal creation and negotiation.
- Independently prepare presentations, talks, and workshops.
Requirements
- Completed university degree, preferably in political science, economics, social sciences, communication studies, or a related field.
- Several years of relevant experience in an agency, consultancy, or similar environment focused on digital positioning and communication, with a track record of independent consulting and mandate management.
- In-depth knowledge of strategic communication, public affairs, and corporate communications.
- Advanced knowledge in digital positioning for individuals and organizations, ideally with a focus on Digital Thought Leadership, Leadership Positioning, and Executive Branding on social media, coupled with strong consulting skills and experience advising senior executives.
- Deep understanding of social media and social-first approaches, from channel strategy to content creation and execution, as well as data-driven work and analysis methods. Advanced LinkedIn skills and editorial judgment are advantageous.
- Proficient project management skills, capable of simultaneously managing multiple mandates, including responsibility for timelines, resources, and budgets, while maintaining high quality under pressure.
- Demonstrated initiative and a strong interest in pursuing communication innovations, particularly through AI, identifying relevant digital communication trends early, and applying them for personal and client benefit.
- High interest in politics, society, and democratic communication.
- Native-level German proficiency and very good English skills, including confident speaking, writing, and editing in German and consulting in English.
