About the Role
Responsible for serving guests in various food and beverage settings, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures while fostering a safe and welcoming environment.
Responsibilities
- Greets guests by name whenever possible.
- Escorts guests to tables, presents menus, and informs them of daily specials.
- Explains menu item preparation and makes recommendations.
- Takes guest orders and ensures satisfaction.
- Prepares food and beverages as applicable.
- Resolves guest issues or seeks management assistance.
- Presents bills and processes payments in the absence of a cashier.
- Cleans tables and counters, removes dishes, and re-stocks supplies.
- Delivers food to hotel rooms, obtains signatures, and removes used trays.
- Performs opening or closing duties as required.
- Counts cash float at the end of the shift when applicable.
- Covers other servers' sections when necessary.
- Exercises good judgment when serving alcoholic beverages.
- Liaises and communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments.
- Cultivates strong working relationships with guests, ownership, and team members.
- Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety, and other statutory regulations.
- Performs other duties as assigned or directed.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year serving experience.
- Effective and service-oriented communication skills.
- POS experience.
- Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License.
- Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations.
