About the Role
iCapital is seeking a Strategic Finance professional to join the Corporate Finance team. This role will manage financial and managerial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, analysis of key performance indicators, monthly and quarterly management reporting, financial close support, financial modeling, and partner with business leads to enhance decision-making. The individual will report to the iCapital Solutions Business Controller, Senior Vice President.
Responsibilities
- Support budgeting and forecasting of key financial performance indicators (revenue, expenses, sales activity, GAAP/Non-GAAP metrics) by liaising with FP&A, sales, and business leads, providing analysis of budget vs. actuals and real-time forecasting.
- Assist in the preparation of the company’s annual budget process across key financial performance indicators, focusing on revenue, expenses, sales inputs, and client-level detail.
- Develop key financial and performance metrics with detailed analytics for the Management Committee and business leads.
- Liaise with FP&A team members to develop business-specific key performance metrics, client analytics, budgets, and forecasts.
- Identify and assess opportunities to enhance the current reporting structure and develop new approaches to evaluate business performance.
- Partner with FP&A team members and sales to develop monthly analyses and insights into budget vs. actual variances.
- Perform sales analytics to support the business development and growth of the iCapital Solutions department.
- Support the preparation of monthly management and quarterly board reporting packages, including financial statement consolidation, budget vs. actual results, revised forecasts, variance analysis, and KPI reports.
- Identify and remediate process gaps, implement effective internal controls, and improve documentation of internal control processes.
- Assist in ad hoc projects such as new software implementation, platform reporting automation, and financial planning and analysis tools.
Requirements
- 9+ years of FP&A, strategic finance, corporate finance, or accounting experience within the financial services industry and/or FP&A or strategic finance experience with a top-tier firm.
- Familiarity with private market investments (private equity, hedge funds, structured investments) is preferred.
- Experience in planning and ERP tools (WorkDay Adaptive, Tableau, Essbase) and familiarity with Oracle NetSuite and/or General Ledger systems (PeopleSoft, Axiom) is preferred.
- Ability to work with business/sales and department leads on business performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and advanced analytics.
- Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational planning, quantitative modeling, and problem-solving skills; strategic and creative thinking.
- Ability to manage large datasets and implement checks and balances.
