About the Role
COBS Bread is seeking a Baker to join our growing team, offering a fun work environment, comprehensive training, and career advancement opportunities. No prior experience is necessary, as we provide a structured training program covering all aspects of scratch baking.
Responsibilities
- Work as part of a small team to bake products from scratch early each morning, following recipes.
- Read production schedules and recipes, measure and mix ingredients, mold and shape dough, and process items through ovens.
- Maintain bakery cleanliness and provide customer service.
- Perform tasks requiring continuous standing/walking, frequent lifting up to 9 kg (occasional up to 22 kg), frequent turning and reaching, constant use of both hands with frequent wrist rotation/flexing and occasional forceful gripping, and occasional pushing, pulling, and forward bending.
Requirements
- Must be a morning person, with shifts starting as early as 4 am on weekends and 4:30 am on weekdays.
- Previous baking and/or customer service experience is an asset but not required.
- Must possess a positive attitude, good organizational skills, and a strong sense of urgency.
- Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
