  • Design and implement developmentally appropriate, inquiry-based activities and learning experiences for infants.
  • Support infants in reaching key developmental milestones through exploration, play, movement, and sensory experiences.
  • Establish consistent routines that support infants’ individual needs, including feeding, sleeping, diapering, and transitions.
  • Build trusting, open relationships with families through consistent communication and partnership.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and inclusive infant classroom that encourages discovery and exploration.
  • Observe and document children’s development and use observations to inform individualized learning experiences.
  • Collaborate with co-teachers and leadership to uphold Vivvi’s mission, curriculum, and standards of care.

Requirements

  • Meet the appropriate education and credential requirements to serve as a Head Infant Teacher in New York.
  • Have experience working directly with infants and a strong understanding of infant development and developmentally appropriate practices.
  • Value and create trusting relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Are already or are willing to become CPR and First Aid certified.
  • Are fully vaccinated against COVID.
  • Have received or are open to receiving your flu vaccination (Vivvi Upper East Side only).
  • Must be based in or willing to relocate to NY.
