About the Role

Join Optis Consulting's Strategy and Advisory team to help clients rethink sourcing, buying, and supplier management using modern toolkits like Source-to-Pay platforms, enterprise AI, and data cloud platforms. This role offers the opportunity to build category strategies, analyze spend data for savings, and engage with executive-level stakeholders to shape high-impact procurement strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead diagnostics and maturity assessments across the Source-to-Pay cycle to identify value loss.
  • Build category strategies for direct and indirect spend to deliver savings, resilience, and supplier innovation.
  • Manage sourcing initiatives end-to-end, including market analysis, RFx design, negotiation support, and award.
  • Develop business cases and transformation roadmaps linking recommendations to measurable outcomes.
  • Utilize enterprise AI tools to accelerate spend classification, contract review, supplier research, and RFx drafting.
  • Design and prototype AI-assisted workflows and agents with clients, facilitating their transition from pilot to daily use.
  • Establish practical AI guardrails in procurement, covering data access, accuracy checks, and governance.
  • Create reusable tools and accelerators to enhance team efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Integrate procurement data from ERP, S2P, and supplier sources onto data cloud platforms for a unified view of spend.
  • Transform data into actionable insights, including spend cubes, savings pipelines, supplier performance dashboards, and early risk signals.
  • Advise on S2P technology roadmaps and platform selection, collaborating with implementation teams.
  • Design supplier segmentation, performance management, and third-party risk frameworks, incorporating ESG principles.
  • Define KPIs and scorecards, maintaining them with live data.
  • Present insights and recommendations to senior executives, acting as a trusted advisor.
  • Shape operating models, roles, and governance to ensure lasting adoption of new working methods.
  • Contribute to proposals and thought leadership, mentor junior team members, and support practice growth.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain, preferably in consulting or professional services.
  • Hands-on experience with Source-to-Pay platforms (e.g., Coupa, Ivalua, Zip, SAP Ariba, GEP).
  • Practical experience using enterprise AI tools for business workflows and a clear perspective on AI's role in procurement.
  • Solid understanding of strategic sourcing, category management, and supplier management.
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear narratives and present confidently to senior stakeholders.
  • Curiosity, initiative, and comfort with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience building AI agents or automations for business workflows (nice to have).
  • Exposure to procurement-specific analytics, intake-to-procure, or AI tools (nice to have).
  • Experience with third-party risk management or sustainable sourcing programs (nice to have).
