About the Role

This role builds the annual research roadmap, oversees research, and delivers actionable insights to support growth, innovation, portfolio optimization, and business planning.

Responsibilities

  • Own the annual Consumer Imaging research strategy and roadmap, prioritizing initiatives against divisional goals, leadership questions, and emerging consumer and photo-industry trends.
  • Lead end-to-end custom quantitative and qualitative research, including business-question development, research design, questionnaire and discussion-guide development, fieldwork oversight, quality control, analysis, and reporting.
  • Manage ongoing tracking studies and monitor wave-over-wave consistency, data validity, and changes in key measures.
  • Partner with stakeholders to translate business objectives into focused learning agendas, research briefs, analytic plans, and decision-ready recommendations.
  • Guide research that supports the growth and optimization of Fujifilm camera, printer, and photo-output product portfolios.
  • Support global research initiatives by collaborating with Tokyo Headquarters and regional offices.
  • Provide Sales and retail partner teams with relevant consumer, category, and shopper insights.
  • Cultivate and manage external research suppliers and third-party data relationships.
  • Administer SaaS-based online survey tools used for internally managed research.
  • Maintain an accessible research library so stakeholders can efficiently find current and historical studies, reports, and foundational knowledge.
  • Synthesize primary research, syndicated sources, and available business data to identify opportunities, clarify implications, and build a stronger evidence base for decision-making.
  • Develop clear, compelling presentations and communicate insights to internal leaders, cross-functional groups, global colleagues, and retail partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, market research, communications, business, social sciences, statistics, or a related field.
  • At least ten years of experience in market research, consumer insights, or a related discipline, including responsibility for managing research projects from scoping through presentation.
  • Hands-on experience developing questionnaires, research instruments, and analytic plans; interpreting data; forming insights; and writing clear reports.
  • Experience presenting study findings and recommendations to internal and external audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, engage cross-functional stakeholders, and translate ambiguous business questions into practical research approaches.
  • Strong written, verbal, analytical, and presentation-development skills.
  • Master’s degree or graduate coursework in marketing research, communications, business, analytics, social sciences, or a related field.
  • Experience across research areas such as brand health, pricing, advertising effectiveness, product development, segmentation, and consumer satisfaction.
  • Experience applying advanced analytic techniques such as cluster analysis, factor analysis, and regression.
  • Experience using syndicated data sources and integrating multiple sources into a cohesive business story.
  • Experience with tracking studies, SaaS survey platforms, research-vendor management, and global or multi-market research.
