About the Role
Join Caterpillar's global team as a Service Technician for MWM, a brand known for high-efficiency, environmentally friendly power generation plants. You will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and commissioning gas engine power plants in your region.
Responsibilities
- Service customers in your region, performing maintenance, repairs, and commissioning of combined heat and power plants with MWM gas engines.
- Independently operate a fully equipped service vehicle, working alone or with colleagues.
- Perform maintenance, diagnostics, repair, and commissioning of gas engines (approx. 400 to 4,500 kW) and associated systems in combined heat and power plants.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in mechanical, electrical, and electronic areas.
- Program and optimize mechatronic systems.
- Conduct measurements, tests, and functional checks.
- Document service activities and create service reports and protocols.
- Contribute to identifying weaknesses and continuously improving products and processes through reports and regular communication with colleagues and supervisors.
Requirements
- Completed training in a technical profession.
- Interest in modern technology and enjoyment of practical and manual tasks.
- Analytical thinking skills and motivation to systematically solve technical problems.
- Independent, reliable, and team-oriented work style.
- Enjoyment of varied tasks.
- Very good German language skills (C1) and basic English language skills (A1).
- Valid Class B driver's license.
- Willingness to serve customers in your region (approx. 200 km radius from home).
