About the Role

As a Go Software Engineer on the Shield team, you will develop and maintain systems, address customer issues promptly, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust solutions. This role offers an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about development with an awareness of both back-end and front-end elements.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain systems and address customer issues in a time-sensitive manner.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand customer needs and deliver robust solutions.
Collaborate with your team to understand requirements and help define technical solutions that meet business objectives.
Develop clean, efficient, and maintainable code in Go, with Python and/or Java knowledge as a bonus.
Implement services, APIs, and data processing pipelines following best practices and design patterns.
Integrate backend systems with third-party services and external APIs to enable seamless data exchange and interoperability.
Ensure compatibility and consistency across different system components.
Implement automated testing and practices to ensure the quality and reliability of backend systems.
Collaborate with QA engineers to execute tests and resolve defects in a timely manner.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical documentation for backend systems.
Provide technical support and assistance to other team members and stakeholders as needed.
Understand and comply with InfoSum’s security and privacy policies, and be attentive to information security at all times in the performance of duties for InfoSum.

Requirements

3+ years of experience in software development, with proficiency in JavaScript and ideally Go.
Strong understanding of software design principles, data structures, and algorithms.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
Familiarity with database technologies (e.g., SQL) and data modeling concepts.
Familiarity with Microservices architecture and Kubernetes.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
Familiarity with Python and/or Java.
Experience with observability stacks (Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry).
Familiarity with Postgres.
Interest in data-privacy, AdTech/MarTech or large-scale data processing.
Familiarity with Kafka, gRPC or Apache Spark.
