About the Role
Heritage Search Partners (HSP) is seeking a highly driven Investment Associate to join their team in Boston or New York. This role focuses on sourcing and originating new investment opportunities, managing current portfolio operations, and supporting the firm's investment in the search fund and entrepreneurship-through-acquisition (ETA) landscape.
Responsibilities
- Originate new investment opportunities from conferences, co-investor referrals, MBA program networks, general referrals, and inbound emails.
- Evaluate investment opportunities, including industry/sector analysis, deal-specific due diligence, and team assessment.
- Manage a large pipeline of deals on the CRM.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing and evaluated entrepreneurs.
- Maintain relationships with key co-investors and leaders of ETA clubs within top MBA programs.
- Communicate with existing searchers and portfolio entrepreneurs to support their processes, including sourcing and deal diligence.
- Support fund-level marketing materials and quarterly investor updates.
- Attend ETA conferences across the U.S. and speak at core MBA programs.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of full-time work experience.
- Some tie to the search fund/ETA ecosystem.

- HSP is currently investing out of Fund 2 and will close Fund 3 by year-end.
- The firm has made over 75 minority equity investments in traditional search funds, self-funded search/independent sponsor deals, and committed capital vehicles/long-term holding companies.
- HSP is investing out of a $40m fund for this strategy.
- Investments have been made in approximately 10 countries across North America, Central America, the UK, Europe, and India.
