About the Role
Analyze network disruptions, manage and develop IT and network infrastructure in data centers, configure and operate network components, install and administer VPN connections, expand data center landscapes, and build out monitoring and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Analyze complex network problems in 2nd and 3rd level support and resolve them sustainably.
- Manage and develop IT and network infrastructure in own data centers.
- Configure and operate routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers in live operation.
- Install and administer site-to-site and remote access VPNs for secure connections.
- Expand the data center landscape with a focus on performance, security, and high availability.
- Build out monitoring, including KPIs and alarms, and maintain reports for operations and audits.
Requirements
- Possess a technical degree or comparable training and several years of network experience.
- Have managed networks for several years, ideally in data centers, with Juniper, Palo Alto, Cisco, and F5.
- Apply the OSI model in design and troubleshooting, and know BGP, MPLS, and EVPN/VXLAN.
- Securely administer Linux and/or Windows systems and integrate them into network solutions.
- Work in a structured manner, communicate clearly, and take responsibility for tasks.
- Communicate fluently in English in conversations, meetings, and technical documentation.
