About the Role
Precor Japan is seeking a Field Service Technician to maintain and repair commercial fitness equipment installed at fitness clubs, hotels, and condominiums nationwide. As a representative of Precor in your region, you will provide excellent service to our customers, utilizing your mechanical and electrical knowledge to build trust and solve problems.
Responsibilities
- Repair and inspect Precor fitness equipment and respond to customer inquiries.
- Visit customer facilities for repairs and maintenance (direct commute may be possible).
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and implement solutions.
- Perform preventative maintenance.
- Advise customers on equipment operation and maintenance procedures.
- Resolve customer challenges as a Precor product expert and brand ambassador.
- Confirm proper functioning of hardware, software, and network after service.
- Handle administrative tasks such as report creation and data entry.
Requirements
- Experience repairing fitness equipment or equivalent technical skills.
- Valid driver's license.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability.
- Basic PC skills (Word, Excel, etc.).
- Experience using business systems (e.g., data entry/management with SAP, Salesforce).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills for building relationships with diverse customers.
- Willingness to travel and work evenings/weekends as needed.
