About the Role

Stellios Technologies is building advanced high power microwave and energy systems for defense, aerospace, and energy. We are hiring a High Voltage Technician to build, wire, insulate, and operate the electrical systems that power everything we make. This is a hands-on build role where you will work with energized hardware on systems running up to a million volts.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate, route, dress, label, and apply strain relief to wiring harnesses.
  • Perform high voltage cable termination, potting, splicing, and install standoffs and bushings.
  • Apply epoxy encapsulation and potting for insulation systems, including surface preparation and curing.
  • Assemble high voltage power supplies, modulators, and pulsed power hardware up to one million volts.
  • Assemble and install capacitor banks, energy storage assemblies, charging systems, and associated safety hardware.
  • Assemble and install transformers, magnetics, and inductors.
  • Implement grounding, bonding, shielding, and corona control measures.
  • Set up and operate energized systems for testing, ensuring safety, repeatability, and proper interlocks and grounding.
  • Perform Hipot, megger, partial discharge, and continuity testing, and maintain accurate records.
  • Troubleshoot systems experiencing arcing, tracking, flashover, or voltage issues.
  • Collaborate with engineers to provide feedback on design buildability.

Requirements

  • Must have hands-on high voltage experience.
  • Ability to work from wiring diagrams, schematics, cable and harness drawings, and assembly instructions independently.
  • Possess strong safety discipline, including lockout tagout, grounding sticks, and interlocks.
  • Must qualify as a U.S. person under applicable export control laws (U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee) due to access to U.S. export controlled information.
  • Experience from national labs, accelerator facilities, power supply manufacturers, pulsed power companies, defense contractors, EV manufacturing, industrial/medical equipment, or utility/substation work is relevant.
  • Demonstrated ability to build, wire, pot, energize, and fix high voltage systems.
